The release of the brand new Fortnite season is just around the corner. This will come at the conclusion of the Galactus event, which is TOMORROW!
Now, we are looking ahead to all that could be in store with the release of the new Fortnite season.
One aspect that is being talked about quite heavily is the next iteration of the FNCS events.
Although we do not know what game mode it will be yet, we can assume it will either be Duos or Squads.
Here's all we know about the Sqauds component!
Start Date
No official date has been given regarding the release of Chapter 2 Season 5's FNCS.
FNCS typically lasts for around a month, during this month of action players across the world compete in multiple weeks of action.
After the qualifying stages are held during the four-five weekends, the grand finals are held over a concluding weekend.
So, it is unlikely that Epic announces an FNCS with the holidays so close.
Expect an announcement within the next couple of weeks, with the actual event not beginning until January probably!
Prize Pool
We do not have any idea of what the prize pool is going to be for the next FNCS, but we can speculate based on previous events.
Trio FNCS for Chapter 2 Season 4 was regarded as a disappointing prize pool, but it was still a modest one.
We can also expect that the European and North America East Regions to have the highest prize pools!
Teams
Since Arena Squads has not been a game mode this past season, we have not be able to watch any scrimmages between professionals.
If this is the game mode for next season, keep your eyes out on social media or Twitch for team announcements!
