Weekly XP Coins are returning in Fortnite during Week 9 of Season 5!
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 released with one key missing feature but it appears that it may at least be returning!
It seems Epic Games may have had a change of heart and have decided to reinstate this fun and easy way to earn XP.
This will be beneficial to levelling up your battle pass as the season progresses.
XP Coins are one of the best ways to level up, and they are back again for Season 5.
Here are the locations for all week 9 coins!

The coins should release at 2PM GMT on the 28th January 2021.

How Many Coins Are There And How Much XP Do They Give?
Here's what you will usually encounter on a weekly basis:
- 1 x Gold Coin
- 2 x Purple Coins
- 3 x Blue Coins
- 4 x Green Coins
Purple coins dish out 10,000 XP, Blue coins award 6,500 XP, Green coins grant 5,000 XP and Gold coins drop 15,000 XP.
In total, there is roughly 74,500 XP up for grabs JUST for playing the game.
The best thing to do is load into team rumble games to be able to collect a number of these quickly.
These coins do not disappear if you do not collect them in a week.
How Many XP Coins In Fortnite Season 5?
According to @iFireMonkey, there will be 10 weeks of coins to collect and there is usually 10 to collect each week.
Meaning we should see about 150 dotted around the map during the season.
