Fortnite has just launched the v15.10 update and it brings especially great news for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S fans.

The update lets you play at 120FPS!

Now you will need a monitor with a sufficient refresh rate to able to utilise these settings to their full.

But if you want to experience next-gen gaming as it’s intended, here’s how to turn on 120FPS in Fortnite!

How To Turn On 120FPS

As explained above, this change only applies to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players.

First, you’ll need to download and install the latest version of Fortnite.

On consoles, this should automatically happen and you won’t be able to play the game until the download has installed.

With the release of v15.10, we’ve added 120 FPS support in Battle Royale/Creative on both Xbox Series X|S and PS5! To play in 120 FPS, enter the Fortnite Video settings and toggle on “120 FPS Mode.”For more info on what's new, head over to the blog: https://t.co/67dfhaHhN4

Once it has finished fire up the game and head into the game’s Settings.

In the Video Settings tab you, you should be able to find the FPS settings and can choose 120FPS.

Increasing to this will lower the game’s resolution from 4K to 1440p, but that’s the price to pay for performance over beauty.

On Xbox Series S, 120FPS will instead run at 1080p resolution.

In addition, shadow resolution and other settings are reduced and volumetric clouds are disabled.
