Following previous rumours, Fortnite: Zero Build is now official. Removing the building mechanic in Fortnite, this new mode within the Free-to-Play shooter caters for those that don’t like to build obstacles for defense.
In a blog post from Epic Games, Zero Build has been described as a “pure test” of weapons, items, and traversal ability. Since there will be no building mechanic, players will now have a recharging Overshield for defense, which is a good fit.
Fortnite: Zero Build Permanently Removes Building Mechanics
Players looking to access the Zero Build mode can do so quite easily, found on the Discover page with Solo, Duos, Trios, and Squads playlists. Otherwise, those that like the building mechanics can just play like they usually do.
Fortnite is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. We'll keep you informed as we hear more about Epic's popular shooter, and you can watch the trailer above for further details.
