Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War: Barebones Game Modes Set To Return

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is preparing for its first season of post-launch content.

Season one will see brand-new weapons, maps, game modes, and more arrive on December 10th alongside a huge update which is likely to feature a large dose of weapon balancing and general bug fixes.

While a lot of the focus is on the weapon balance, Season One is likely to feature at least two new game modes, and one of them is a fan-favourite mode.

Here’s everything we know about the return of Barebones to Black Ops Cold War.

Is Barebones Returning?

The short answer is that it is highly likely that we will see Barebones returning to Call of Duty in the not too distant future.

Barebones Game Modes

According to the audio file, Barebones Search & Destroy and Hardcore Barebones Team Deathmatch will be arriving into Black Ops Cold War.

Leaker @CODColdWarNewz also reports that Barebones VIP Escort will also be coming to the game.

For some, the return of Barebones may not be significant, but with a total of eight Core game modes on multiplayer, some form of alternative mode is the perfect addition in order to create some variety.

Barebones Release Date

With the launch of Season One on December 10th, it is likely that we could see Barebones making its return when the new season goes live.

There is a chance that it could arrive as part of a mid-season update after details surrounding brand-new mode Dropkick were discovered on the in-game loading screens.

Regardless, Barebones is more than likely to make an appearance at some point during Season One.
