If you missed the recent DOOM closed beta, don’t fret, Bethesda have officially announced the launch dates of the DOOM open beta, in addition to post-launch content details!
The open beta will run from April 15-18th and will have a multiplayer focus just like the closed beta, allowing users to gain some first-hand experience with the Team Deathmatch and Warpath game modes on the Heatwave and Infernal maps.
In regards to DLC content, Bethesda revealed free content updates for the Doom’s user creation mode, SnapMap, as well as multiplayer. SnapMap’s free updates will include map modules, props & objects, additional features and functionality, AI enhancements, editing tool enhancements and more. Players can also expect new multiplayer game modes in the future.
As well as this, Bethesda also stated that they will release three premium multiplayer DLC packs, with each one costing $14.99/£11.99 per, or alternatively $39.99/£29.99 for all three, if you chose to purchase them via the Season Pass.
The first paid DLC pack has been detailed to include:
- Three new maps
- One new weapon
- One new playable demon
- One new armour set
- One new piece of equipment
- New hack modules and taunts
- New customization colours and patterns
Doom will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 13th.
