After a sizeable delay, Marvel's Avengers is due to launch on September 4, with Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk and Thor all playable, alongside main protagonist Kamala Khan.
With a recent easter egg spotted in the game's "War Table" presentation confirming that the Daily Bugle exists in the game's universe, many have wondered if Spider-Man could make an appearance.

Developers Crystal Dynamics have confirmed post-launch content is coming to the game for free, and that it will include not only areas and villains but heroes too. That means Spider-Man could come to the game at a later date, but for now, it's anyone's guess.
It's also worth remembering that Avengers Tower is found in Marvel's Spider-Man on PS4, but none of Earth's Mightiest Heroes make an appearance. Maybe that'll change in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, though.
