Ahead of launch, Modern Warfare 3 players are desperate for information on whether the game will feature Hardcore game modes.

Hardcore modes are a staple of the Call of Duty franchise, providing Modern Warfare 3 players with a lightning-fast time to kill and a minimalistic head-up display to create an alternative gameplay experience to the usual game modes that appear in multiplayer.

With the release date moving into view, fans have already received intel on a wealth of features ranging from movement changes to the gun list that's packed with plenty of firepower. Despite this, fans of Hardcore Call of Duty are still waiting for information on their favourite playlist.

In a bid to find some information, user cmonhumans took to Reddit on their search for more information on Modern Warfare 3 Hardcore.

The player asks: "I mean, I don't want to feel the pain like last year when Infinity Ward tried to make us eat that s**t called Tier 1 for months before they finally gave up. Any official news about this [Modern Warfare 3 Hardcore]?"

Thankfully, there are some good news, both for this angry user and also other fans of the Hardcore modes. Another fan reveals: "It has been confirmed to be coming at launch by Sledgehammer Games."

Hardcore has remained a popular feature of Call of Duty multiplayer thanks to the faster time to kill, enabling players to complete challenges with more obscure weaponry as fast as possible. The faster time to kill makes nearly every single weapon capable of scoring kills with a single bullet, while the limited HUD adds a layer of tactics to gameplay.

Instead of releasing Hardcore when 2022's Modern Warfare 2 launched, Infinity Ward opted for Tier 1 much to the frustration of players. Following backlash, the developer bought Hardcore back, and it remains in the playlist rotation.

With Sledgehammer Games learning from previous mistakes, Hardcore mode is bound to prove a popular feature of Modern Warfare 3 once the servers are switched on when November 10 rolls around.
