Playstation VR2 remains a major talking point but we might be in for a long wait, as a new leak suggests Sony's latest headset is launching in Q1 2023 release.
That comes from PSVR Without Parole, who correctly predicted details about Sony’s PSVR2 headset and Horizon Call of the Mountain. According to the leaker, this is reportedly why Sony hasn’t planned any PSVR2 events and why the original PSVR continues receiving support. As with any rumour though, take this with a grain of salt.
Playstation VR2 Rumoured to Launch in 2023
Reportedly, Sony is waiting for PS5 stocks to normalize, as the next-gen console remains hard to obtain for most consumers, thanks to the global chip shortage. With PS5 stock not where Sony's hoping it to be, that'd make PSVR2 even more of a niche than VR has traditionally been.
There's no official confirmation from Sony about this release date, though once that changes, we'll be sure to keep you updated. In the meantime, Sony's original PlayStation VR headset remains widely available for PS4 and PS4 Pro, and we've got a few games recommendations.
