The huge map of Al Mazrah gives Warzone 2 players plenty of choices when dropping into the action. Whether it’s an airport or a small shack in the middle of nowhere, the best landing spots make all the difference at the start of a match.
With the Season Two update on the horizon, Infinity Ward and Raven Software continue revealing intel on what fans can expect. Ranging from the return of the 1v1 gulag to huge looting changes designed to increase the pace of play, the battle royale should capture the imagination of fans that have gone elsewhere for their fix.
One major adjustment sees three brand-new points of interest (POI) arrive in Al Mazrah, and fans believe that they will improve the game.
New Warzone 2 POIs are positive changes
According to Reddit user 5ilver8ullet, the addition of new areas to explore will have a drastic effect on where players choose to land. “Maybe this will bring more traffic to the northern portion of the map,” explains the player.
Additions include the wreckage of a plane outside the Sattiq Cave, a cave network in between Rohan Oil and Taraq Village, and a second passenger train perfect for navigating the top half of the map. Call of Duty fans will instantly recognise the plane wreckage as the iconic Afghan multiplayer map from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2.
While some are excited by the new arrivals, there’s plenty of scepticism among members of the community. “Yep, add a train but don’t fix the servers or bullet registration,” suggesting there are more pressing issues that need to be addressed rather than adjusting the map layout.
Several game-breaking bugs and glitches still impact players but the Season Two update aims to address the issues alongside providing plenty of new content.
