Throughout the history of Warzone, the Kilo 141 assault rifle has held its place as one of the most popular weapons in the entire arsenal. Despite falling out of the ever-changing meta, it holds a special place in the hearts of those still wishing for the return of Verdansk.
Fans of the battle royale have asked for improvements to the selection of Modern Warfare weaponry and within the Season 4 Reloaded patch notes, their demands were met thanks to the most recent dose of buffs and nerfs.
Although the dominant NZ-41 received another nerf, the Kilo 141 is back as one of the best Warzone assault rifles to use on Caldera, Fortune’s Keep, and Rebirth Island. The AR is so good that content creators Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff and Kris “FaZe Swagg” Lamberson say it’s returned to the meta once more.
The Kilo is Meta Again
Prior to a slight increase in damage output and removal of mid-range damage drop-off, the main flaw of the Kilo was its lack of impact in those crucial battles against other assault rifle users. In a recent stream alongside TimTheTatman, NICKMERCS reveals “the buffed Kilo is meta again” which is exciting news for those tired of Vanguard weapons dominating matches.
The FaZe Clan member agrees, confirming the Kilo is “really good up close and medium-range.” However, NICKMERCS continues to say that if a Kilo user encounters another player using an NZ-41 “you’re going to get f*****." This isn’t great news for those hoping its nerf has stopped its dominance.
The lack of mid-range damage drop-off is excellent news but many believe that it can’t contend on Caldera. On the other hand, fans of Fortune’s Keep and Rebirth are already impressed with its changes. “I was using the Kilo all night last night on Rebirth. It was shredding!” says one player.
With Raven Software always listening to player feedback, there’s always a chance the developer applies more improvements to the Kilo as it works its way in amongst the best Warzone assault rifles for the remainder of Season 4 Reloaded.
