What is the best Genshin Impact Razor build, now that we have a substantial cast of characters to work with? Let's take a look at the Electro Claymore user.
Razor was sadly abandoned as a small child, and was taken in and raised by the Wolf of the North and its pack in Mondstadt. Varka, the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, happened upon Razor and persuaded him to slowly start integrating with other humans again. On the battlefield, he’s a great DPS unit, with the potential to focus on either Electro or Physical damage.

How do I get Razor in Genshin?
Razor is obtainable by spending wishes in the Wanderlust Invocation standard banner, and occasionally available to purchase with Masterless Starglitter from Paimon's store. Good luck obtaining him!
He will be a boosted 4-star on Nahida and Yoimiya's banners in Version 3.2.
What are the best Razor builds?
Razor excels as either Physical or Electro DPS. He hits really hard with the greatsword and has a pool of good Electro abilities that make him a great Main DPS, but sadly lock him into that role since he doesn’t have any persisting skill that can play with others.
Below are two of the best Razor builds right now. You can keep reading to find out the hows and whys of these particular Razor builds, but if you've used him before, you'll quickly understand the thought process behind his best weapon and artifact choices.
Physical DPS
While Wolf’s Gravestone is the perfect choice for this build, it is also a difficult weapon to obtain, so as a great alternative you can craft Prototype Archaic. The Pale Flame set is the best choice for every single Physical DPS build, and this is no exception. If you can’t complete the set yet, though, you can always use Bloodstained Chivalry as an alternative.
Electro DPS
Similar to the Physical DPS build, the desired weapon is the Wolf's Gravestone, with the major difference relying on the Artifacts side. The Thundering Fury set is the best choice for every single Electro DPS build, but if you can’t complete the set yet, though, you can always use a 2-2 mix of Gladiator's Finale and Thundering Fury as an alternative.
What are the best Team Comps for Razor?
Razor can inflict outstanding damage independently of his teammates. However, his damage output can scale to the heavens if you apply reactions like Superconduct. To do that, units like Rosaria are perfect and Fischl helps with that since you won't be needing to use the Elemental Skill that often thanks to Oz. Barbara closes the team as a great healer that can apply the Wet status on yourself, further improving Electro-related reactions.
Character | Element |
---|---|
Razor | Electro |
Rosaria, Diona, Kaeya | Cryo |
Fischl | Electro |
Collei, Traveler | Dendro |
What are the best weapons for Razor?
Weapons like Wolf's Gravestone that boost Attack or Song of the Broken Pines and its boost on Physical Damage are the only real good options for these builds. You can also find a more affordable and equally good alternative in the form of the Snow-Tombed Starsilver. Last but not least, if you’re looking for a craftable option, you can obtain the Prototype Archaic if you still don’t have any of the former.
Weapon | Rarity | Stats | Skill | How to obtain |
---|---|---|---|---|
Wolf's Gravestone | 5-Star | ATK 49.6% | Increases ATK by 20%. On hit, attacks against enemies with less than 30% HP increase all party members' ATK by 40% for 12s. Can only occur once every 30s. | Wishes |
Song of Broken Pines | 5-Star | Physical DMG Bonus 20.7% | When Normal or Charged Attacks hit opponents, the character gains a Sigil of Whispers. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s. When you possess 4 Sigils of Whispers, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the "Millennial Movement: Banner-Hymn" effect for 12s. | Wishes |
Prototype Archaic | 4-Star | ATK 27.6% | On hit, Normal and Charged Attacks have a 50% chance to deal an additional 240% ATK DMG to opponents within a small AoE. Can only occur once every 15s. | Forged |

What are the best Artifacts for Razor?
Depending on which build you choose to make, you may need Thundering Fury sets in case you want to use Razor as an Electro DPS Unit, or Pale Flame for Physical DPS purposes. How many of these you choose to equip on her will depend on your gameplay, so it is suggested that you test different builds, how they work as mixed or full sets and you can decide then.

Pale Flame | Physical damage +25% | When an Elemental skill hits an opponent, Attack is increased by 9% for 7 seconds. This effect stacks up to 2 times and can be triggered once every 0.3s. Once 2 stacks are reached, the 2 piece bonus is increased by 100%. |
Bloodstained Chivalry | Physical damage +25% | After defeating an opponent, increases Charged Attack damage by 50% and reduces its Stamina cost to 0 for 10 seconds. |

What are Razor's Skills and Talents?
Razor shines as a Physical Main DPS, with massive damage output and versatility in his movements. While he can trigger Electro reactions with his Elemental Skill and Burst, he doesn't rely on those, focusing instead on Physical Damage. While his Elemental Skill is great, it's by using the Elemental Burst that we can see Razor's true aggressive skills, capable of wiping out entire rooms full of enemies.
Attack | Effect |
---|---|
Normal Attack | Performs up to 4 consecutive strikes. |
Charged Attack | Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous swirling attacks against all nearby enemies. At end of the sequence, perform a more powerful slash. |
Plunging Attack | Descends from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging enemies along the path and dealing AoE damage upon landing. |
Elemental Skill - Claw and Thunder | Hunts his prey using the techniques taught to him by his master and his Lupical. Press Swings the Thunder Wolf Claw, dealing Electro damage to enemies in front of Razor. Upon striking an enemy, Razor will gain an Electro Sigil, which increases his Energy Recharge rate. Razor can have up to 3 Electro Sigils simultaneously, and gaining a new Electro Sigil refreshes their duration. Hold Gathers Electro energy to unleash a lightning storm over a small AoE, causing massive Electro damage, and clears all of Razor's Electro Sigils. Each Electro Sigil cleared in this manner will be converted into Energy for Razor. |
Elemental Burst - Lightning Fang | Summons the Wolf Within which deals Electro damage to all nearby opponents. This clears all of Razor's Electro Sigils, which will be converted into elemental energy for him. The Wolf Within will fight alongside Razor for the skill's duration. The Wolf Within -Strikes alongside Razor's normal attacks, dealing Electro damage. -Raises Razor's Attack Speed and Electro Resistance. -Causes Razor to be immune to damage inflicted by the Electro-Charged status. -Disables Razor's Charged Attacks. -Increases Razor's resistance to interruption |
Talent#1 - Awakening | Decreases Claw and Thunder's cooldown by 18%. Using Lightning Fang resets the cooldown of Claw and Thunder. |
Talent#2 - Hunger | When Razor's Energy is below 50%, increases Energy Recharge by 30%. |
Talent#3 - Wolvensprint | Decreases all the other party members’ sprinting Stamina Consumption by 20%. |
What are Razor's Constellations?
If you get to pull Razor multiple times, you will eventually reach a level of the constellation that will turn her into an excellent DPS unit, with improvements on all his Skills and their respective cooldowns, making Razor a great tool to take the offensive on the battlefield.
Constellation | Effect |
---|---|
Wolf's Instinct | Picking up an Elemental Orb or Particle increases Razor's damage by 10% for 8 seconds. |
Suppression | Increases Critical Rate against enemies with less than 30% HP by 10%. |
Suppression | Increases the Level of Lightning Fang by 3, up to a maximum level of 15. |
Bite | When casting Claw and Thunder (Press), enemies hit will have their Defense decreased by 15% for 7 seconds. |
Sharpened Claws | Increase the Level of Claw and Thunder by 3, up to a maximum level of 15. |
Lupus Fulguris | Every 10 seconds, Razor's sword charges up, causing the next Normal Attack to release lightning that deals 100% of Razor's Attack as Electro damage. When Razor is not using Lightning Fang, a lightning strike on an enemy will grant Razor an Electro Sigil for Claw and Thunder. |
What are Razor's Ascension Materials?

- Elemental Skill
- Elemental Burst
- Normal Attack
Daily Drops | Enemy Drops | Weekly Drops |
---|---|---|
