Battles in Dynasty Warriors: Origins can get intense, and before you realize it, your health bar is halfway down.

Whether plowing through enemies or going head-to-head with a hard-hitting boss, knowing how to heal is essential for keeping your warrior in the game.

But there's no need to fret; there are plenty of ways to get back on your feet.

In this guide, we’ll cover restoring your health and keeping your character in shape.

How To Heal

If you want an easy way to heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, just chow down on Meat Buns.

These healing items can be used on the spot during battle, giving you a quick boost when you’re in a pinch.

You can carry up to three Meat Buns to start, but unlocking the Meat Bun Glutton skill will let you bring more along.

There are a few places where you can pick up Meat Buns. One of the most common sources is destroying pots found in enemy bases.

These pots are easily spotted. They often have a Meat Bun, which provides a fast health boost when you’re low.

Meat Buns can drop from Enemy Officers, but that's pretty much only on the easier difficulties, like Historian or Wayfarer.

On modes like Hero or Ultimate Warrior, enemy officers won’t drop Meat Buns, so the pots are your go-to for healing.

If you'd like to speed things up, enable the Auto-Use Meat Buns feature in the menu.

When your health gets low, this option automatically uses a Meat Bun, so you can focus on the fight instead of healing items.

However, you can still manually use Meat Buns at any time, so whether or not to use this setting depends on your style of play.

Aside from chowing down on Meat Buns, some passive healing options exist in Dynasty Warriors: Origins.

You can use the Wellspring Gem to heal while you progress passively.

For every 100 enemies you take down, the Wellspring Gem will regenerate a small chunk of your health.

You can trade Pyroxene at the Inn for a random Wellspring Gem.

If you want the Wellspring Gem to heal more, toss in some extra Pyroxene for upgrades.

You can rely on this gem to keep your health topped off while taking out large enemy crowds without using healing items.

The game has healing abilities you can unlock in the skill tree.

These moves allow you to heal in several ways, making them solid tools for your back pocket.

A few worth mentioning are:

Back on Your Feet

When you're on the brink of defeat, this skill gives you a health boost to turn the tide in your favor.

Refreshing Rescue

Whenever you save an officer, this skill boosts your health recovery. It's a solid pick if you like supporting your crew.

Greater Gratification

This skill makes Meat Buns more powerful, giving you more health recovery per bun, which can make a huge difference in hard fights.

Rage Restored

This skill gives you health back with each hit in Rage Mode, so you can heal while throwing down damage.

By leveling up these skills, you’ll notice a big difference in your healing and survivability.

Meat Buns are the classic pick for healing, but there are a few other items in Dynasty Warriors: Origins that can help with health.

You can think of Vitality Potions like Meat Buns, except you can use them whenever, so they give you another way to heal in the middle of a battle.

You can find these items in different areas or purchase them from shops.

You can also carry several healing items at once to pick the one that best fits the situation.

Thanks to the game's system, you can quickly switch between items, which is a lifesaver when your health’s low in a boss fight.

While healing is key, cutting down on the damage you take can be even more important.

The less damage you take, the more you can focus on taking out enemies instead of healing.

If you want to survive longer, you should pick up skills that improve your defense and make it easier to handle damage.

Mastering these defensive moves ensures your health stays intact, and healing items are only needed in emergencies.
