Want to get the best Genshin Impact Yueling build? We've got you covered. Genshin Impact 3.0 brought Sumeru to life, and year three has seen some wildly different characters debut with it. But with the 4.0 Fontaine area right around the corner, we're looking to the future.
The developers will continue to expand on the roster of characters from the older regions, and it looks like Liyue is set to get yet another 5-star character in the form of Yueling. She's set to be a Geo character that could resonate well with Albedo and Zhongli.

Genshin Impact Yueling lore
What weapon does Yueling use?
Yueling is expected to be a 5-star Bow user. Her specialty lies in Crystallize, which is considered to be one of the weakest Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact alongside Superconduct right now.
What element is Yueling?
Information about her kit is not fully available yet, but there are unconfirmed leaks that point toward Yueling focusing heavily on the Geo Crystallize reaction. She could finally bring the underused elemental reaction back into relevance.
Genshin Impact Yueling lore
She's from Liyue, according to leaks, and is likely to come with her own character story. It's unknown when she'll release, but we can estimate this to be between 3.7 and 3.9. Before Fontaine launches.
We've never had a .9 patch before moving on, but who knows?

The best Genshin Impact Yueling artifacts
Currently, the only artifact set that synergizes well with Crystallize is Archaic Petra. The set hasn't see much use since the Zhongli days, but it could be a high-impact artifact set for Yueling. Here's how it works:
- 2-piece bonus: +15% Geo Damage Bonus
- 4-piece bonus: Upon obtaining an Elemental Shard created through a Crystallize Reaction, all party members gain a 35% DMG Bonus for that particular element for 10s. Only one form of Elemental DMG Bonus can be gained in this manner at any one time.
Both the Geo damage bonus and elemental damage bonus from the set can greatly boost damage. It's one of the best support artifact sets in the game if you manage to trigger the 4-piece effect.
Yueling may get a new artifact set designed around her kit. though, so there may be another great option as well. Keep that in mind before you start burning resin to build up a set before her release.
The best Genshin Impact Yueling weapons
Yueling is likely to arrive with her own best-in-slot weapon, but here are the best options among existing weapons:
Polar Star (608 Attack, 44.1% Crit Rate)
Polar Star can offer a massive crit rate and attack buff to the wielder and even if Yueling cannot take advantage of the attack buffs from the weapon’s passive, it still offers Elemental Skill and Burst damage bonuses.
Aqua Simulacra (542 Attack, 88.2% Crit Damage)
If you have enemies nearby, Aqua Simulacra offers you a small amount of damage bonus. The extremely high crit damage on the weapon makes it a solid option for most characters and if Yueling is a Defence-scaling character, the low attack will not matter either.
Stringless R5 (510 Attack, 165 Elemental Mastery)
If you have a Refinement 5 Stringless, you can get a whopping 48% Elemental Skill and Burst damage bonus on Yueling.
Other stat stick weapons like Skyward Harp and Thundering Pulse might also be great on Yueling. If you feel like you are lacking in Energy Recharge, you can go for one of the ER% weapons instead.
The best Genshin Impact Yueling team comps
DPS Yueling team
If she is played as a main DPS, the best team for Yueling is likely to be:
- Yueling (on-field)
- Zhongli (Geo shred, defensive utility, buffs)
- Albedo (Off-field damage)
- Gorou (Buffs and Crytallize synergy)
Zhongli
Since Geo Resonance relies on your team being shielded, we need to include Zhongli - the undisputed king of Geo.
He's one of the few sources of Geo resistance shred, which can boost your damage. You're almost unkillable with him unless you face really hard-hitting enemies that can break your shield.
Albedo
Albedo was always strong, but he's a largely replaceable (and limited) support unit for Geo. Buffing his kit with the Husk of Opulent Dreams artifact set has made him a premier support for Geo in the years following his release, with some theory crafters arguing in favor of Albedo over Zhongli. In this case, we can use both.
His off-field damage is incredible in any Geo team with Gorou, and he should fit perfectly in a Yueling team. Albedo’s Elemental Skill can also trigger Crystallize fairly consistently.
Gorou
Gorou was released with Aratakki Itto and has become a staple in all Geo teams. He might be one of the most synergistic units with Yueling if she has Defence-scaling in her kit.
In addition to giving you tons of buffs, If you have his Constellation 4 unlocked, he can offer you a small amount of healing, which should be enough to heal you up in case you take damage. Since you already have a shield, damage should be of little concern.
Geo support Yueling build
If Yueling is played as a Geo support, her teams will look like the following:
- Arataki Itto / Ningguang / Noelle (On-field)
- Gorou / Albedo (Flex support)
- Zhongli (Defensive utility and buffs)
- Yueling (Geo support)
Other options
If you don’t have Gorou, you can consider using other supports like Kazuha for grouping or other off-field damage dealers to compensate for Gorou’s buffs.
Albedo can be replaced by Ningguang for some quick damage with her Elemental Burst and Skill. If you don’t have Zhongli, you can use any other shielder like Diona, Thoma, or Layla.
If you want to maximize Crystallize synergy, you may want to include a character that can apply consistent elemental damage like Fischl, Xingqiu, Yelan, or Raiden Shogun.
All Liyue 5-stars have been powerhouses. We have high expectations for her. For more Genshin Impact content you can check out our builds for Mika, Kujou Sara, and Sayu.
