In the latest update, Gone Fishin’, LEGO Fortnite has introduced an enticing new feature: fishing. Through this feature, players are now able to catch different fish species, which can be consumed or crafted into the game's most valuable items.

Before you proceed with your fishing trip, you will also have to obtain a Fishing Rod which you can craft from the in-game crafting menu. With the Fishing Rod in hand, you can catch fish by dropping it in any body of water and waiting until the bait has been taken.

Nevertheless, not all rivers, lakes, and seas are abounding with fish. To increase your chances of catching fish, players can create their Fishing Spot by throwing a Bait Bucket into the water. This comprehensive guide will certainly lead you through the process of creating a Fishing Spot in LEGO Fortnite.

How to create Lego Fortnite Fishing Spot

If you look at the LEGO Fortnite map, you will notice that there are countless Fishing Spots, however, not every water body will offer you fish. Thankfully, you can turn these ordinary ponds or lakes into Fishing Spots by using a Bait Bucket.

How to craft a Bait Bucket

LEGO Fortnite offers four distinct types of Bait Buckets, which you can use to convert water bodies into Fishing Spots. These buckets include Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic which you will need to craft first. However, each bucket has its recipe. It's best to begin with the Common Bait Bucket because once you've crafted it, you'll unlock the recipes for the others.

To craft a Common Bait Bucket, you will need equipment called a Food Processor and a single resource Fish Fillet. To craft a Food Processor, you will need the following resources.

  • Planks 8x
  • Bones 7x
  • Wooden Rods 3x
  • Granites 6x

After crafting the Food Processor, head to the nearby lake with your Fishing Rod to capture fish. To cook a Fish Fillet, put the fish into the Food Processor and wait for a few seconds.

Once you've successfully crafted the Common Bait Bucket, you'll unlock the recipes for the remaining buckets in your inventory. Nevertheless, you will need to build a Juicer first to create the Common, Rare, and Epic Bait Buckets. To build a Juicer, you will need the below resources.

  • 8 Planks
  • 8 Marble Slabs
  • 5 Knotroot Rods

Once the Juicer is ready, you can create the remaining Bait Buckets using the following recipes:

  • Uncommon Bait Bucket: 1 Common Bait Bucket, 2 Vines, and 3 Raspberries.
  • Rare Bait Bucket: 1 Common Bait Bucket, 3 Pumpkin Seeds, 3 Pepper Seeds, and 3 Corn Kernels.
  • Epic Bait Bucket: 1 Common Bait Bucket, 1 Spicy Burger, and 1 Slap Juice.

Once you have crafted the desired bucket, drop it into the water to create the Fishing Spot. However, the Fishing Spot you have created will depend on the Bait Bucket you have used. For example, the Rare Bait Bucket will allow you to capture rare fishes and vice versa.

With the right strategy, you'll find success in catching a few fish in no time. For further details on the new update, consider checking out how to craft the Hunting Dagger in Lego Fortnite.
