How to get the Sea of Thieves King’s Chest

You can obtain a King’s Chest in Sea of Thieves from shipwrecks or messages in bottles. These aren’t that hard to find in the game, but they won’t guarantee a King’s Chest either.

You can find shipwrecks by keeping an eye out for seagulls flying around in a circle over certain areas. Head to the location of these birds and you should find a shipwreck or loot under the area they are circling.

For messages in bottles, head to an island and comb through the sands of its beaches. You can find several other things here too like various crates and treasures.

What are Ashen King’s Chests in Sea of Thieves?

Ashen King’s Chests are just like regular King’s Chests. You can obtain them in the same way, but the Ashen version can only be found in the Devil’s Roar region and sells for more gold.

Regular King’s Chests will net you 3,000 gold when sold while the Ashen variant will get you 3,700.
