The start of Season 3 for Black Ops Cold War is finally here after weeks of leaks and speculation. The start of the season will see a wealth of brand-new content arrive to the game, including six new weapons, new Operators, new multiplayer maps, and so much more.
One of the new weapons scheduled to arrive later on in the season is the CARV.2 tactical rifle, a weapon that heavily resembles the G11 assault rifle from the very first Black Ops title.
Despite the release of the CARV.2 being several weeks away, players have already managed to get their hands on the new weapon after it made an appearance in Zombies.

How To Get The CARV.2 Early
In a blog post published on April 19th, Activision revealed that the CARV.2 would be arriving "in season" rather than being accessible before the start of the season.
Twitter user @JrrizzoYT managed to get their hands on the new rifle in a match of Die Maschine.
In a now-deleted Tweet, the player managed to acquire the rifle by completing a Trial. The CARV.2 was the reward for the challenge, but it's unclear as to why the weapon is already in the game and able to be accessed.

Is It Good?
Regarding the performance of the CARV.2, it's unclear as to how it fares against the other tactical rifles in Cold War multiplayer and Zombies.
Featuring a "high-damage, high-bullet-velocity output", the rifle is likely to feature a solid rate of fire that will enable players to excel in mid-range and long-distance duels.
Until it's officially released, we will have to wait and see how good it actually is.
