AX-50 Modern Warfare Loadout, Setup And Best Attachments For Your Class

There has always been something extremely satisfying about using a bolt-action sniper rifle in Call of Duty and the AX-50 in Modern Warfare is fantastic.

The AX-50 is extremely effective at range, taking down enemies with its .50 calibre rounds in the chamber.

Here are three different AX-50 classes with some handy Modern Warfare tips & tricks that will help you master the sniper rifle.

Class 1 – Complete Stealth

Attachments

  • Tac Suppressor (Muzzle)
  • 32.0” Factory Barrel (Barrel)
  • Variable Zoom Scope (Optic)
  • Singuard Arms Marksman (Stock)
  • Presence of Mind (Perk)

Despite the suppressor, the damage output still remains high while the rest of the attachments keeps recoil levels at a minimum.

Perks

  • Quick Fix (Perk 1)
  • Kill Chain (Perk 2)
  • Tracker (Perk 3)

Quick Fix can regenerate health quicker when securing a kill or capturing an objective, Kill Chain makes it much easier to earn higher killstreaks and Tracker allows you to see the footsteps of the enemy, giving you a rough idea on their location.

Grenades

  • Frag Grenade (Lethal)
  • Smoke Grenade (Tactical)

Selection of lethal equipment is personal preference but the smoke grenade is perfect to conceal your position or to cover off a line of sight when your teammates are attempting to secure an objective.

Field Upgrades

  • Deployable Cover

Deployable cover gives you the ability to create improvised cover even in open areas. A well placed piece of cover can be the difference between you scoring another killstreak or being taken out by an enemy.

Killstreaks

  • Precision Airstrike (5 Kills)
  • VTOL Jet (8 Kills)
  • Juggernaut (15 Kills)

Despite the Juggernaut being at such a high target, the inclusion of Kill Chain as the second perk means kills earned by the VTOL jet will count towards its score.

Class 2 – Go Loud

The second class offers increased mobility but the firing sound of the AX-50 will alert players to your location.

Attachments

  • 17.0” Factory Barrel (Barrel)
  • Cronen C480 Pro Optic (Optic)
  • Singuard Arms Invader (Stock)
  • Granulated Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
  • 7-Round Mag (Ammunition)

The pro optic offers varying levels of zoom, allowing you to clearly focus on your targets regardless of how far away they are. The seven round magazine also allows some leeway if you miss a couple of your shots.

Perks

  • Overkill (Perk 1)
  • Ghost (Perk 2)
  • Amped (Perk 3)

Overkill allows you to have a strong secondary weapon in the back pocket when the sniper doesn’t cut it, Ghost makes you invisible to enemy UAVs, ideal for navigating the map relatively undetected and Amped increases weapon swap speed, allowing you quick access to your secondary when needed.

Grenades

  • Proximity Mine (Lethal)
  • Snapshot Grenade (Tactical)

Less conspicuous than a claymore, a proximity mine can still catch unsuspecting enemies by surprise. The snapshot grenade is perfect for getting vision before entering a building that may contain enemies.

Field Upgrades

  • Trophy System

Block any incoming projectiles from the enemy with a well-placed trophy system.

Killstreaks

  • Counter UAV (4 Kills)
  • Cruise Missile (5 Kills)
  • Sentry Gun (7 Kills)

Despite being low-scoring killstreaks, a well-placed cruise missile and sentry gun has the potential to acquire a large number of kills.

Class 3 – Into Darkness

Class number three is ideal for the Night Vision Goggles (NVG) playlist.

Attachments

  • Singuard Arms Pro (Barrel)
  • Tac Laser (Laser)
  • VLK 3x Optic (Optic)
  • Singuard Arms Assassin (Stock)
  • Rubberized Grip Tape (Rear Grip)

The combination of laser and optic makes it much easier to spot any opponents in the darkness while the stock makes aiming stability much more controlled.

Perks

  • Double Time (Perk 1)
  • Hardline (Perk 2)
  • Battle Hardened (Perk 3)

The increase in tactical sprint makes navigating the map in the dark much faster. It’s likely that you will die much more often in the NVG playlist so Hardline makes it much easier to secure the higher killstreaks.

Grenades

  • Frag Grenade (Lethal)
  • Smoke Grenade (Tactical)

In the NVG playlist, using smoke grenades to make a getaway or to sneakily move around the map is a great way to get the jump on the opposition.

Field Upgrades

  • Dead Silence

With an increased awareness of any sounds in NVG, dead silence is the best way to move around without being detected by the enemy.

Killstreaks

  • UAV (4 Kills)
  • Cluster Strike (5 Kills)
  • VTOL Jet (8 Kills)

The UAV is beneficial to your teammates to locate the enemy team, the cluster strike is great to funnel the enemy into a specific location on the map and the VTOL jet is perfect to score lots of kills especially when it is difficult to see in the darkness.
