Pokémon Battle Revolution has held up pretty well visually, with some of the battle animations putting some of the Switch games to shame. One fan has decided to mod Battle Revolution using Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, making it an even better successor to the Coliseum series.

Yisuno, the fan working on this BDSP mod, has confirmed that they’re able to bring in some of the announcer’s energetic lines into this revamp. This fan had already brought some of the animations from Battle Revolution to these two Switch games, making them look even better.

At the time of writing, Yisuno has only modded the Spanish announcer into the Pokémon revamp since that’s the version they grew up with. Still, once this mod is readily available, we’re sure that fans will be able to mod in the English announcer and get the version they want.

No release date for this mod has been revealed, since Yisuno is still trying to make this Battle Revolution/BDSP revamp fully-playable. Yisuno has already shared a number of the very good Battle Revolution animations using the BDSP models, so the eventual release is going to make fans very happy.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were seen as underwhelming remakes to most fans, even when compared to the 3DS games. While it’s far from unplayable, the game was clearly made on a budget and are easily the “worst” Pokémon Switch games. That being said, it still sold well and plays a lot faster than the DS originals, so there are reasons to pick these titles up.

Battle Revolution looked great on the Wii, though it paled in comparison to the Stadium and Coliseum games content-wise. Despite some great animations, the single-player content was barebones, though DS fans could get exclusive Pokémon from it.

No release date for Yisuno’s mod is currently available. Meanwhile, fans who don’t mind a Pokémon game made on the cheap can pick up Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on the Switch right now.
