Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX included Psyduck as one of the 12 starter Pokemon that you can choose to start with.
If the lovable Kanto Pokemon is your choice in the new Mystery Dungeon game, here's our guide!
Be sure to watch our wide variety of Pokemon content here!
Psyduck Guide
The Generation 1 water-type is available as the player or partner through the main game.
Usually, Psyduck is chosen if the personality results are either Relaxed (for males) or Lonely (for females) in nature.
Its mobility is categorised by water, meaning it can traverse through water tiles but not fire/cloud tiles or walls.
As Psyduck is a water type, he will be weak to electric and grass type Pokemon, meaning you should pair him with a ground type or fire type Pokemon such as Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic or Cubone.
How To Get Psyduck
Psyduck can be chosen at the start of the game as either the player or partner.
Psyduck can be recruited exclusively at Lightning Field with a recruit rate of 10.8%.
You will come across a Lv11 Psyduck with a rarity of:
- 9-10th floor (20.51%)
- 11th-10th floor (20.51%)
- 12th floor (23.53%)
Evolving Psyduck
Evolution does not play a massive part in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, so it is perfectly ok to keep Psyduck as he is.
Although stats do not increase from evolution, moves can vary once it evolves into Golduck.
If you do wish to evolve Psyduck, you will need to finish the main story and enter the Luminous Cave - be sure to check our evolution guide for more details.
