The Pokemon World Championships 2020 will be coming to London, recently announced at the 2019 championships, this will be the first time the World Championships have been hosted outside of North America.

Pokemon World Championships 2020 In London, England
With the 2019 Pokemon World Championships finishing, the location for the 2020 competition. This new competition will include the all-new Pokemon Sword & Shield as the 3DS generation has come to a conclusion, competitions will utilize the new Pokemon generation on Nintendo Switch; revealed in the opening ceremony.

This is more good news for Pokemon fans in the UK as a Pokemon Center will pop-up in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush on October 18th 2019.
