Rainbow Six Siege: How to Improve Aim

Know your weapons (and attachments)

There are plenty of weapons in Rainbow Six: Siege, but they're all locked to specific operators. That means whichever class you pick, you'll only have two choices of main weapon.

If you pick an operator because of their tactical utility, narrowing down your preferred weapon usually comes down to an easy pick between say, a shotgun and an SMG.

Attachments can make all the difference, however, so with this in mind it's definitely worth taking a look at our attachment guide.

Slow and steady

Things can get tense in Siege – really tense, in fact. With that in mind, you'll want to scope around corners by leaning while aiming.

Moving slowly will help your accuracy no end.

Fire in bursts

Recoil can be incredibly realistic in Siege, making some guns feel like out of control fire hoses if you simply unload round after round.

With that in mind, it's usually best to fire in short bursts or in a sort of rhythmic pattern. This maximises your damage output without your weapon going haywire – don't forget, you can injure teammates, so watch where you're firing.
