Red Dead Online Bolas: Where To Buy, Price, Is It Worth It?

Any Red Dead Online players undertaking the bounty hunter role will need to use every tool at their disposal to track and hunt down the many outlaws roaming the game.

One such tool that's potentially worth investing in, is the bolas,

For those who don't know, it's a throwing weapon used to entangle the legs of enemies. But it's only available to players who are bounty hunters.

Keen to know more? Keep reading for a quick guide on how to buy the bolas, how much they cost and whether they are ultimately worth it.

How To Buy The Bolas?

Before players can buy the bolas they need to do a few things.

As mentioned, players will first of all need to make sure that they have purchased a Bounty Hunter license. If you haven't started that frontier pursuit yet, you'll find all the details on the link above.

Once you've got your license, you'll still have your work cut out. You'll need to level up your bounty hunter to rank 10 before you're able to unlock the bolas.

When you reach rank 10, the bolas can be unlocked for the price of one Role Token.

Once players are levelled up high enough and have unlocked the bolas, they can then purchase from any Fence or Gunsmith within the game.

What Is The Bolas Price?

They're dead cheap.

If you want to buy the bolas it will cost players $30.00 or 2 gold bars.

You need not worry about having to purchase loads either. Because the bolas have a short-range, it's very hard to miss and once you tie up your bounty with your lasso, you'll get the bolas back.

Is The Bolas Worth It?

Whilst you might not use them all the time like the reinforced lasso or even the bounty hunter wagon, the bolas are still pretty essential pieces of kit.

They're especially useful for players who might be outnumbered and dead set on capturing all bounties alive.

Hypothetically if you're outnumbered, the bolas are useful for disabling one enemy whilst you set to work tackling and hogtying the other.

Without the bolas, you might otherwise be left defending yourself from one enemy attacking you whilst you attempt to tie up the other.
