Rocket League earlier this year announced that it will be removing randomised crates from Rocket League by the end of 2019. They have recently announced what will be replacing those crates, which are called 'Blueprints'; releasing at the end of the year. They will also add one last crate set called the Vindicator Crate.
It's been a big year for Rocket League, with RLCS 7 being won by Renault Vitality and the announcement that it will feature at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Blueprints
The new 'Blueprints' will arrive in December. After playing a match, you’ll have a chance to obtain a Blueprint. When you get a Blueprint, it will show you exactly what item you can create from it, for a set price. Once in your inventory, Blueprints will allow you to pay to create the item it offers; you can receive it immediately or leave it in your inventory to create the item later.
Like the Crate items that preceded them, Blueprints can drop with special attributes like Painted, Certified, and Special Editions
Items Shop And Credits
In the same update as the Blueprints, a new rotating Item Shop will be introduced. The Item Shop will offer a wide variety of content including new items, legacy Crate content you might have missed out on and the long-awaited debuts of items; like the Titanium White Dominus.
Items from Blueprints and the Item Shop will be obtained by Credits, the new premium currency replacing Keys. You’ll use Credits to create items from Blueprints, upgrade to Rocket Pass Premium, and buy content from the Item Shop. Esports Tokens will be separate from Credits and will be the only way to purchase items from the Esports Shop.
More will be revealed about the Item Shop in the upcoming months.

The Vindicator Crate
Before we say goodbye to crates, one last crate will launch called the 'Vindicator Crate'. This crate will go live on the 3rd October 2019 and will feature the Sentinel Battle-Car and Neuro-Agitator Goal Explosion.
It's important to note that Keys will be automatically converted into Credits and remaining Crates will be converted into Blueprints of the same series.
Trade-Ins
Trade-Ins will also be getting a change, once Blueprints go live, by disabling the ability to use paid content with the current Trade-In system. Meaning Blueprints, Item Shop or legacy content acquired from Crates cannot be traded in once this change goes live.
