Rocket League Halloween 2020 Event: When Is The Haunted Hallows Update Released This Year?

Rocket League is over 5 years old, but it continues to go from strength to strength and following the move to go free-to-play in late September, we can only see it's growth increasing.

Currently, the game is slap bang in the middle of its latest in-game event, Llama-Rama, a sort of Epic Games/Fortnite tie in.

However, the Llama-Rama event will be coming to an end shortly and we suspect that soon after we should see a return for the games spooky Halloween celebration.

Haunted Hallows was the first special event introduced to Rocket League and because of this, it holds a special place in the hearts of long-time fans.

Things could be a little different this year, but we've tried to pull together all the important details you might want to know, ahead of time.

What Is The Rocket League Haunted Hallows Release Date?

Officially, Psyonix has not stated when or if the event will return in 2020.

However, as we touched on, it's one of the games longest-serving events so we find it hard to think it'll be overlooked.

In the past, the event has started and ended on the following dates:

  • October 16 - November 6, 2017.
  • October 15 - November 5, 2018.
  • October 14 - November 11, 2019

As you can see (or check) the events always begin on Monday's and end on Monday's.

With this in mind, we think it would have been possible that the new event would have started on October 12th.

However, the Llama-Rama is actually scheduled to end on October 12.

So will Haunted Hallows begin right away? Will it start on the 13th? Or will Psyonix delay the event until the following week on October 19th.

In our mind, it'll start on the 19th and end slightly later. But only time will tell.

Will Haunted Hallows Be Different In 2020?

We don't want to go into too much detail about the Haunted Hallows event for 2020, and the reason for that is due to the changes to events as outlined by Psyonix.

Ahead of the Llama-Rama event, the developer told fans:

"Beginning with Llama-Rama, in-game events are going to be slightly different from what you may be used to."

"To unlock the items from the event, you'll need to complete Event Challenges.

"Each Event Challenge you complete will grant a specific Event Item once you claim it from the Challenges Menu.

"Complete them all to unlock Rocket League's newest car, the Battle Bus!"

If you want to see what the Haunted Hallows event looked like previously, it's all detailed on the link, but we can't say for certain if it'll return in quite the same way as previously.

We'll be sure to update this page as more info becomes available.
