Sims 4 is a simulation game that lets you create your own character or characters and throw them into a world that you control. You can make their lives as normal or as dramatic as you'd like. However, when you initially buy the game it may not be in your preferred language. This is why we're going to show you how to change the default language on PC.

How To Change Language on PC
Open up the origin launcher (where you'd normally log in to and boot Sims up from). Then select your "Game Library" and right-click on the Sims 4 base game. You then need to click on "game properties" which will bring up a large window in the middle of your screen.
The second tab at the top of this window should say "Advanced Launch Options" and you need to click on this. You should be able to click on the dropbox in the middle of the window to select your language. Once you have found and chosen the language you want, the game will begin to re-install on your device. It will do this for all of your installed expansion packs too, so you could be in for quite a wait. Once it has finished re-installing, the language changes should be applied across your entire game.
No Language Options?
Often, the default language options for your game is decided by which region you buy it in. If you find that you do not get any language options when you click the dropbox then there is another way to possibly get around it.
Uninstall the game on the origin launcher and then change the preferred language of the launcher. To do this, click on the tab at the top of the screen that says "origin" and select "application settings". This will take you to a page that looks like this:
On here you will be able to change the default language. Click on the dropbox option next to "Language" and you should get several options to choose from. Select your desired language then exit and restart the launcher. Open the launcher again and re-install your Sims game. The default language should be applied automatically.
Will Language Changes Work on Mods?
Yes and no. Ultimately, it depends on the mod and what the mod creator has programmed it to do. If you have modded your game then it's a good idea to check whether or not the mods respond to or conflict with language changes. You can usually do this from the site or place that you downloaded the mod files from.
Once you have changed the language to your preferred one, you can get back to creating and controlling life in Sims 4.
