We've seen a ton of announcements from CES 2022, but one of them has really caught our eye.
No, we're not talking about the epic new C2 range from LG or even the influx of new OLED gaming monitors, like the Asus ROG Swift PG42UQ, we're talking about the three new monitors from Samsung that look set to knock it out of the park for both gaming and productivity, especially the recently launched Samsung Odyseey Neo G8.
Here's everything you need to know.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G8
So let's start with the gaming monitor. The Odyssey Neo G8 is another world's first and features a 4K, 1000R curved display with a massive 240hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.
While many of the best HDMI 2.1 monitors on the market are great with next-gen consoles, this particular monitor seems more tailored to PC gamers...at least those with a god-level rig.
On top of this, the display features Quantum Mini LEDs, Quantum HDR 2000, which means 2000 nit brightness and a million-to-one static contrast ratio.

That is almost absurdly bright and should prove fantastic for seeing fine details and offering up an incredibly wide colour range too.
Interestingly, Samsung has gone for the familiar white back panel that can be seen in the other members of the Odyssey line, which looks very different indeed to their Samsung Odyssey Ark and Odyssey G8QNB displays - the latter being the world's thinnest gaming monitor at 5.9mm.
It's a great-looking monitor that's for sure, and even has an RGB ring that can be either set to static, pattern or synced up with the screen itself.
It also has features such as Auto Source Switch+ which automatically clocks on to when you connect a console and switches the input.

Samsung Smart Monitor M8
Samsung is also going to be hitting us with a very impressive new smart monitor, the M8.
Smart monitors, for those of you who may not have explored them just yet, are part smart TV/part productivity station in some senses.
Partly designed with consuming content in mind, this monitor has apps built in much in the same way as most TVs do, and it features a 4K display with 99% sRGB colour gamut, and a solid 400nit brightness. For reference, that's the same brightness as HDR400, which looks great.

There are even productivity apps built-in, meaning you can use this without a PC...win, win.
And it also looks like Samsung has thought about all of us working from home, as the M8 32" model comes with a movable magnetic SlimFit Cam to help you look your best when conferencing remotely.
And don't forget the USB Type-C port, which allows for up to 65W charging connections. No need for an additional docking station, keeping your setup looking clean and minimal.
Once again, there's no price or release date on this just yet, but we'll keep you posted.

High-Resolution Monitor S8
The last entry on the list is this new High-Resolution Monitor S8, which comes in 27" and 32" sizes.
This is geared more towards creatives, who require accuracy in practically every sense.
You'll find 4K resolution for detailed tasks, 98% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and Display HDR600.
It's also the world's first UL verified Glare-Free monitor and comes with a Matte Display to reduce reflections and eye strain.

Like the M8, this also features USB Type-C ports, however, this can charge up to 90W. There are also LAN ports to simplify things further if you fancy charging your laptop or phone.
It's also VESA compatible if you wish to mount it to a monitor arm, but the stand itself offers some impressive adjustability that should be more than okay for most people out there.
No prices or release date just yet, but stay tuned!
