Trader Location

So far it looks like the trader will never spawn on the main island.

Meaning you'll have to make yourself a raft to get to another island.

When arriving at an island check your map and you should see the trader icon appear.

Most of the time you can find them in the Black Forest biome.

You may have to battle your way through some enemies at first but the trader will be surrounded by runes to ward them off once there.

It's also worth making a base nearby and setting up a portal so that you can buy and sell easily.

You can find a table showing all the items sold by traders below.

These items aren't necessary to buy but they will help a lot when it comes to combat and dungeons.

The Fishing Rod is also a great source of food from the beginner methods.

The Circlet is a great tool to use when mining or going underground in general with low light sources.

Megingjord is great for combat of course but it's main appeal is an extra 150 weight capacity to your inventory.

Of all the items be sure to get the Megingjord as soon as you can.

Selling Items

To sell items to the vendor press the right lower button in the sell/buy menu.

Items which have a 'Valuable' tag are intended solely to be sold.

Some of these items include those found in chests such as rubys, ambers, and pearls.

Valheim is the next Viking title to take Steam by storm, there are plenty of plans for the future with the 2021 roadmap. You can even set up a dedicated server and play with your friends in coop! If bosses interest you, there's already four in the game Eikthyr, the Elder, Bonemass and Modor, you'll require plenty of items along the way like the Swamp Key.
