Valorant is still one of the hottest games on the planet, and it looks as though Act 2 will offer a revamped ranking system to Riot's first-person-shooter phenomenon.
The current ranking system is great and all, but players have been looking for a little more granularity in the way it's handled. Thankfully, they could be about to get exactly that.
Valorant: Ranked Changes Coming With Act 2
According to @ValorLeaks on Twitter, players will rank up or down depending on successes, with five tiers within each rank.
New Ranking System: Act Rank #VALORANT~From what i can see, it seems that this will be a new Ranking system entering the game with the new Act. Ranks can go Up or Down, and have Levels ranging from 1 to 5. pic.twitter.com/3XJ90nz1rw

That's a change from the current three-tier system, but the ranks themselves will still run from Iron up to Radiant.
That means that Radiant, the rank for the best players in the game, will soon be divvied up into five sections, creating a real clamour to reach the top.
Of course, it's likely that the game's current ranks will need to be reset to be able to implement this change. I'm pretty useless at Valorant anyway, but I'll tell everyone I was Radiant before the wipe. And since this hasn't been confirmed by Riot, do take it with a pinch of salt.
