Although the Season 3 Reloaded update for Warzone is right around the corner, the community is turning its attention towards the launch of Warzone 2 and what the next chapter of the battle royale has in store.
A fresh wave of leaks unveil information on major changes to various gameplay mechanics in addition to intel on the Warzone 2 map layout that will play host to a wealth of brand-new points of interest (POI).
Ranging from new locations to some classic Modern Warfare 2 maps, the Warzone 2 map is already sounding like the ultimate battlefield for battle royale action.
Warzone 2 Map POIs Leaked
A report from notable Call of Duty insider Tom Henderson claims there are a total of 18 POIs located across the map. One of the POIs is an observatory reportedly located in the centre of the map similar to the Peak POI on Caldera. Here's a list of all the POIs and the Modern Warfare 2 maps appearing:

- Caves (Afghan from Modern Warfare 2)
- Dam
- Graveyard
- Fishtown
- Fort
- Harbour
- Marshes
- Mountain Town (Favela from Modern Warfare 2)
- Modern City (Highrise from Modern Warfare 2)

- Observatory
- Oilfield
- Oldtown
- Quarry (Quarry from Modern Warfare 2)
- Shipwreck
- Sira
- Wartorn
Henderson says more maps from 2009's Modern Warfare 2 could feature on the Warzone 2 map but it's unclear which will arrive. In addition, the map is also featuring in the new DMZ mode arriving in 2022's Modern Warfare 2.
Warzone 2 Release Date
Reports claim Warzone 2 will launch in 2023, three years since the release of the battle royale. Activision says the new experience will "come with Modern Warfare 2," but it's unclear if it will launch alongside the annual release.
