Grand Theft Auto V finally arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in two weeks and so Rockstar Games has detailed the technical improvements players can expect. Like other next-gen upgrades, GTA V contains numerous modes that emphasise visuals or performance, alongside quality-of-life updates like faster loading times.
The official website confirms that GTA V includes Fidelity Mode (30 FPS/4K), Performance Mode (60 FPS), and Performance Mode RT (60 FPS/4K). There's also increased an population size and traffic variety, increased vegetation density, improved lighting quality across shadows, water reflections, and so more.

PS5 owners can also expect Haptic Feedback for the DualSense controller, allowing for more immersive gameplay. 3D audio has also been confirmed for both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
Finally, players can migrate story progress in GTA 5 - alongside GTA Online characters - from today by uploading their save data to the Rockstar Games Social Club. That can only be done once and within the same family of consoles, so an Xbox One character can’t transfer to PS5.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 15. Elsewhere, the game is readily available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
