One of the biggest surprises in Alan Wake 2’s Lake House DLC is the inclusion of Control. Part of the overarching Remedy Connected Universe, Control was the story of Jesse Faden as she assumed the role of the Director of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC). She was present in Alan Wake 2's first DLC, Night Springs.

Not only does this story expansion involve a major Control character, but it also teases what’s to come for its sequel. This guide will tell you how to unlock the Control 2 teaser and find Jesse’s brother, Dylan.

Make Your Way to Sublevel 4

The Lake House DLC doesn’t last long; it’s only around three hours of gameplay. Making your way to Sublevel 4 should be easy.

After taking the Level 3 Keycard and the Black Rock Launcher, you can enter Sublevel 4. This shifting archives area is packed with papers, distortions, and a swarm of Shaded and Painted. This is a combat-heavy sequence, so it’s best to be prepared.

Check the walls and prepare your Black Rock Launcher if a Painted ambushes you in the corner. You know you’re going the right way when you make it to the well-lit office in the center.

Turn the Lights Off

Once you’re in Diana Marnont’s well-lit office, you can turn the lights off to alter the state of the floor. This enables you to escape this twisted hellhole. But before you head to the elevator, check the surroundings first.

After turning the lights off, Jules Marmont appears and tries to jumpscare you. Don’t worry about that. Enter Diana’s office again, and you should notice new notes scattered everywhere.

Pull the Light Switch Three Times

After checking the file on the desk near the projector, the Light Switch will appear in front of you. Control fans are familiar with this object of power, which transports players into the one and only Oceanview Motel and Casino.

Pulling the switch three times takes you to the mysterious motel. It shouldn’t be hard to navigate as there’s only one way. Head past the long corridor and enter a door marked with a symbol we’re not familiar with.

Talk to Dylan

The door leads us straight into the Panopticon, meaning we’re inside the Oldest House, the FBC’s main hub. This revelation adds more questions than answers. What’s going on here? And where is everybody else?

Dylan is the only person in the area. Trapped in a containment cell, he mumbles about things we don’t know.

Talk to him, and he’ll provide some insight into the state of the Federal Bureau of Control. Continue asking questions until a cutscene triggers a short teaser for Control 2.

We’re not exactly sure what’s happening in the teaser, but it showed glimpses of the Oldest House, the Hiss, and Polaris. We’re curious about what went wrong inside the Bureau and what’s up with the Doctor Strange-like buildings?
