Amazon has begun sending out trial invitations to its cloud gaming service, Luna.
Announced last month, Luna runs off of the Amazon Web Service infrastructure and will be available on iOS, Fire TV, PC, Mac and Android in the coming months.

Those that have signed up for the Luna trial will be able to enjoy a week's early access before being charged an introductory rate of $5.99 per month.

While the trial will only offer 1080p/60fps streaming, the target resolution for the full release remains 4K/60fps.
Luna will offer games as part of a subscription, with a $49.99 controller that connects directly via the cloud (although keyboard and mouse and Bluetooth controls are available, too.)
If that sounds familiar, it's because Google's oft-forgotten Stadia works similarly, although Luna will offer a wealth of games as part of its membership price, as opposed to charging extra for a la carte purchases.
There are "channels" that can be added to a membership, the first of which is Ubisoft's own channel.
That means players will be able to stream the likes of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Far Cry 6, or Immortals Fenyx Rising.
With Microsoft's own Cloud Gaming service building up steam, and Google's Stadia still hanging on, things are undoubtedly getting crowded.
Still, we can only hope it goes more smoothly than the company's first game release, Crucible.
The game was shuttered this month after a disappointing player count just months on from launch.
