Twitch streamer Amouranth has returned to the platform for the first time since a concerning weekend stream which saw her disclose that she’s married and allege that her husband had been acting in a controlling and abusive manner towards her.
Amouranth, real name Kaitlyn Siragusa, had initially gone silent on social media following this broadcast, leaving many fans and fellow streamers worried about her wellbeing.
Now though, as reported by Kotaku’s Luke Plunkett, Siragusa has returned to Twitch, providing an update on how the situation is progressing.
This weekend’s tense situation involving Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa looks to be on the path to resolution
Siragusa began the stream, entitled ‘Some Changes’, by recapping the events of her last broadcast and saying: “I apologise if that was hard to watch for people, I didn’t really know what else to do, because he was threatening to tweet (stuff).”
Siragusa then revealed that her husband hadn’t previously listened to any recordings of his behaviour, stating: “I think that when he heard himself on that call it really sunk in how much of an (expletive) he is,” and elaborating: “He’s not here, he’s getting help.”
The streamer also confirmed: “As of today, though, I have access to all (of) my accounts and finances again” and added: “I’m seeking legal and emotional counsel.”
Throughout the stream Siragusa expressed her gratitude towards those who’d been concerned about her during the incident, saying: “I’ve had a lot of people reach out though, to offer their help and support, including legal help, places to stay etcetera, I really appreciate that, thank you.”
Towards the end of the stream, Siragusa alludes to how things might proceed going forwards. “I guess I’ll keep you guys updated on my socials with whatever happens next”, before suggesting that she’d like to do some more animal-based streams and travelling.
We'll keep you updated on whether Amouranth does elaborate on what happened here at some point in the future. We also have more coverage of the world of streaming and popular streamers like Ninja and Dr Disrespect.
