Following a developer stream last week, Digital Extremes has announced the next Warframe expansion. Called Angels of the Zariman, that promises to take players "on a trip to the fabled Zariman Ten Zero" with a new single-player Quest this April, introducing a new chapter to Warframe's Cinematic Quest saga.
Promising a "wealth" of additional content, Digital Extremes offered this features outline:
A new Warframe, three new playable mission types, a social hubtown, customizable apartments for players aboard the Zariman Ten Zero, and new Customizations alongside quality of life improvements. Void Shell Skins will be introduced for the first time, which will further increase customization in Warframe allowing players to freely change textures on materials and apply a tint to their Warframe.
New Warframe Expansion, Angels of the Zariman, Drops This April
Evolving Weapons has also been confirmed, obtained from a new NPC aboard the Zariman. That'll evolve based on completed in-game challenges, unlocking new weapon aspects as you advance. Gyre, the 49th Warframe, was also confirmed, described as "a formidable Warframe that hones the power of electricity with grace, elegance, and supreme power."
However, before Angels of the Zariman launches, 9th anniversary celebrations are also planned in two weeks time. A new entry in the Prime Access program is planned for Garuda Prime, while previous Dex content also returns on March 28.
Finally, Nightwave: Nora’s Mix Vol. 1 goes live this week, adding new/returning rewards and a "fresh selection of acts." Like the anniversary plans and Angels of the Zariman, that'll be available for all platforms.
Warframe is free-to-play, available now on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. We'll keep you informed with further Warframe updates as they happen.
