During February in Animal Crossing New Horizons, players have two events to look forward to: Valentine's Day, and the Festivale. Valentine's Day is not a special event in the Animal Crossing calendar, technically, but you can fill your island paradise with some love regardless using special items granted during the holiday.
In this guide, we explain all you need to know about Valentine's Day and its items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

When Is Valentine's Day?
For those who do not know, Valentine's Day content is accessible in Animal Crossing on the 14th of February.
What Is Valentine's Day?
Valentine's Day originates as a Christian day of feast, aimed at honouring two martyrs named Saint Valentine. In modern times, though, the day has since become a celebration of romance and love globally. Technically, it is not a widespread event in Animal Crossing New Horizons, but you can share love around your island with some of the special Valentine's items that were introduced.
Animal Crossing posted a trailer showcasing some of the content that has become obtainable in the game, including that of Valentine's Day special items:
Valentine's Day Items
On Valentine's Day, players will gain access to some exclusive items that can be bought via Nook Shopping at the Resident Services Building.
These include:
- Chocolate Heart - 1200 Bells
- Heart-Shaped Bouquet - 1200 Bells
That's all there is to Valentine's Day festivities in Animal Crossing New Horizons. It is lacking, but you can decorate your island as much (or as little) as you want to make your own event out of it. For more events to look forward to in coming months, check out Museum Day, May Day, and Nature Day.
