After receiving near-perfect reviews from major critics, Sony’s Astro Bot may be a GOTY contender along with the popular Black Myth: Wukong.
Along with the game's release on September 6, a limited edition DualSense controller modeled after the game’s Dual Speeder was also released after being available for pre-orders on August 9.
Now, three days after the game launched, many Astro Bot fans who pre-ordered the controller have yet to receive any shipping updates for their orders.
Originally posted on the game’s subreddit, many players have complained about the controller delay.
Various storefronts, such as Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart, have emailed several pre-ordered players to inform them that their controllers will be indefinitely delayed.
Astro Bot perfectly utilizes the PS5’s DualSense controller and haptics through its fun yet challenging gameplay. Understandably, many fans want to play it using the limited edition controller.

After contacting their respective stores and shipment providers, some fans are left clueless as the updates provided to them do not have any specific dates for when these orders will arrive.
The shipment delay involving major storefronts suggests that it is possibly related to shortage issues. There have been no updates about when these delays will have final shipment dates.
Astro Bot is the third game in the Astro Bot series. The first two games were added for free on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as tech demo games for the consoles’ DualShock and DualSense controllers. Astro Bot has garnered so much positive reception that it has a 100% critic recommendation score on OpenCritic.
While the game is enjoyable, Astro Bot fans will have to wait until they can control Astro Bot with their own blue-and-white controller.
