Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3, or BG3 for short, recently received its Patch 7, adding more cinematic evil endings and official mod support. While doing an evil playthrough and modding Baldur’s Gate 3 seems like a fantastic way to enjoy the game, many players pit themselves against the game’s Honour Mode which ramps up the difficulty and adds a permadeath feature. One avid Baldur’s Gate 3 fan unknowingly killed everyone in their party during an Honour Mode run and receives condolence flowers at work, leaving their workmates questioning and puzzled.

Originally posted on Reddit by u/Royal-Resolution4717, they shared that they recently lost their whole BG3 Honour Mode party most carelessly during the game’s Act 3. They were in the middle of a battle against Farslayer of Bhaal Ghislev, one of the game’s enemies that had the ability to instantly kill anyone after several turns. They mentioned that they were chatting with their friend over in Discord while the battle went on in the background and forgot about the enemy which ended in a team wipe and their 70-hour Honour Mode run. Fast forward to the next morning and the same friend sent them condolence flowers, which were received by their co-workers who have no idea about gaming and started quizzing them about it.

The bouquet of white flowers included a note saying “Very sorry to hear of the sudden passing of your loved ones. RIP Tav, Wyll, Astarion, and Shadowheart. Sending love and support, Brazz.” Many players replying to the post said that their good friend Brazz was fun and humorous enough to send them these followers, with some of them even saying they wanted to befriend Brazz. Other players stated that u/Royal-Resolution4717 should tell their co-workers what happened, and proudly share more about their awesome friend and hobby.

Some also shared how their Baldur’s Gate 3 Honour Mode ended, with one player saying that a gnome with a nuke ended their run. While several others shared how their playthrough ended, the majority of the sentiments go toward how fantastic friends can be especially when sharing gaming experiences. While Baldur’s Gate 3 has a roster of lovable and interesting characters, it is the friends we make along the way that make the gaming experience better.
