Christmas is over, but these new Nintendo Switch 2 leaks from @CentroLeaks have made Nintendo fans feel like Santa is on his way again.
The leaks, circulated online via X, showcase a much clearer look at the new logo and some new images showcasing the tablet's more robust 13-pin adapter for the larger Joy-Cons.
While the images are speculated to be AI-generated, some details within the images suggest otherwise. For some Nintendo fans, the 13-pin connector for the Joy-Con seems too accurate for AI to generate, considering how AI is infamously known for generating multiple fingers for human images.
The new logo also sports a huge number 2 in front but is still almost identical to the original Switch logo. Nintendo had previously had some naming issues with the Wii U, similar to Microsoft's Xbox One and Series consoles, so fans have their fingers crossed that the market won't confuse the two Nintendo consoles.
A Reddit thread suggested that the images shared by @CentroLeaks are both real and AI-generated. One of the photos with a much more zoomed-in perspective appears to be an actual photo, and the zoomed-out images seem to be assisted by AI to change the background using generative fill.
Incidentally, these leaks are related to the promised information shared on a previous Reddit thread, which has caused massive confusion and excitement within the Nintendo community.

After Reddit user u/NextHandheld, also known as @NextHandheld on X, shared the information with the subreddit mods, they proceeded to do what they promised: show more leaked information about the new console.
Another Nintendo insider, @SamusHunter2, has shared on X that the images seem fake but recognizes that the hardware specifications from the initial leaks are the point for the upcoming Nintendo console.
While several Nintendo fans have polarized opinions, the recent Nintendo Switch 2 mock-ups showcase a larger device. One image shows the tablet being held in one hand, and it looks thick enough to house more powerful hardware and a cooling system.
While these leaks have once again divided the community, they show how many Nintendo fans anticipate the next-gen console from the company that brought Super Mario to almost every home.
Nintendo still decides whether the community will receive an update during the first quarter of next year. In the meantime, follow Gfinity Esports to stay updated on the latest gaming news and stories.
