Now that it’s finally emerged from early access, Baldur’s Gate 3 has already surpassed a lot of expectations, having attracted a huge amount of players keen to scythe through its quests and battles.

Streamers have already shown off some of the fun the full version of the game has to offer, and its modding scene is already producing plenty of interesting tweaks and enhancements, including the option to play as an ex-goat.

That said, there’s currently a key feature that players are desperately hoping either modders or the developers at Larian will add to the game soon, in order to help out folks who’ve made some choices they now regret.

Did you accidentally pick the wrong nose while designing your Baldur’s Gate 3 character?

In a thread on the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, a bunch of aesthetic-obsessed adventurers have requested that a means for players to adjust their character's looks once the game is in full flow, such as a Divinity: Original Sin 2-style magic mirror, be added to it as soon as possible.

User Omega2307 kicked off the thread’s opening post by explaining that they’ve ended up stuck with an unsatisfactory beige-skinned Tiefling, after rushing things in order not to keep some friends waiting. “I’m sure there are more people in my or a similar situation that want to change [their] character’s appearance after testing it out,” they declared.

Their experience isn’t unique to those who didn’t dedicate much time to the creation process either, with user DLoRedOnline lamenting: “My character looks great in construction, but the portrait makes him look like he washed his beard in a mixture of peroxide and orange gatorade.”

Even those who haven’t decided they aren’t fans of their face-sculpting work are keen to see the feature implemented, with a number of players suggesting that being able to change hairstyles every so often goes a long way towards increasing immersion.

Thankfully, many seem to have faith that Larian will soon hear and act upon the calls to give people the chase to switch up their visages, which haven’t been limited to this single Reddit thread.

Some players have also suggested that they’d like to see the feature come with a couple of extra appearance options that aren’t currently present in the game’s character creator, such as a selection of eyebrows or moles to choose between.
