If you're looking to save in Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, you have to go to designated rest spots around the world. They have a small red flower icon on them, and are also adorned by a white-looking clover. Press the L button to go to the Preparations menu, where you can save your game.
This being said, there is an autosave function. Generally, after big bosses or a battle, you will see a small feather icon on the bottom right. You should try to not rely on your autosave function too much though, so make sure to save any time you are able to. This will avoid losing any progress throughout your playtime if you unexpectedly die.
