Despite the best efforts of grinders to become legitimate businesspeople, crime still pays the bills for GTA Online players, with heists representing one of the best ways to accumulate wealth.

While some players have begun to run out of wildly priced properties and gold-plated supercars to spend their ungodly riches on, leading some to desire the ability to give away their cash to other players, others are still desperately looking to earn more dough.

Now, though, GTA Online players on Reddit have gotten together to discuss which of the game’s heists best suit those who’re just looking for entertainment.

GTA Online Players Discuss Best Heists

Posting to begin the thread, user SomeonOnTheInternet shared a joke about the story behind The Doomsday Heist being much more detailed than either The Cayo Perico Heist or The Diamond Casino Heist.

This spurred a tidal wave of users to declare that, of all of the heists, the Doomsday Heist is the one they find the most fun to play, even if it isn’t the most lucrative.

For example, user v__R4Z0R__v said: “I low-key actually liked the doomsday story. Sure it's stupid and crazy but GTA IS stupid and crazy so I liked it”, while Spartanjaws added: “Still blows my mind how many people haven't actually done doomsday. Such a shame for how fun they are to run with some friends.”

One such person appeared in the thread, with user Birdgang_naj admitting: “Doomsday is the only thing I haven't touched in GTA Online”, before asking whether it’s only doable with friends, rather than random players.

A few users replied to this comment, with Awesom141 saying: “you need at least one friend” and unknown_outsider adding that you need “people who you can rely on'' to pull it off easily.

Some others shared that the Doomsday Heist is at the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of fun, with HeavyBeing0_0 saying: “you couldn’t pay me real life money to do doomsday again” and benmorris05 adding: “took me and my mate literally like 4 hours to finish the finale alone”.

Meanwhile, most of the newer heists received criticism for having characters who crossed the line from entertaining to simply annoying, making missions such as those attached to the Tuners update’s auto shops seemingly less popular for hardcore players, despite many of the more modern heists being more profitable than Doomsday.

On the other hand, for those seeking profit, user SomeGuyYouWouldKnow earned top comment by suggesting attempting the criminal mastermind challenge, which rewards an extra $10 million for completing all of the heists added in the game’s original heist update in order, with the same team and without dying as an alternative.
