Whenever new cards arrive in Marvel Snap, there's plenty of great decks being built around the latest character to see how they fare in the meta. Mockingbird is no different, but the best Marvel Snap Mockingbird deck may surprise you.
Mockingbird arrives with some decent stats, being a 5-Cost and 9-Power card, a similar statline to the non-ability Abomination card. However, her ability is where the fun begins, with Mockingbird's ability reading "Costs 1 less for each of your cards in play that didn't start in your deck".
It won't pair well with the best Marvel Snap destroy decks, but you may find a familiar deck for those of you running the best Marvel Snap Cull Obsidian deck, a powerful card that arrived last season. While Mockingbird obviously has great synergy with the card-generating Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, such as Agent Coulson, there's another deck she's a great fit in.
Best Marvel Snap Mockingbird deck
The best Marvel Snap Mockingbird deck to play right now, from our own experience, is:
- Psylocke
- Mobius M. Mobius
- Hope Summers
- Shang-Chi
- Cull Obsidian
- Vision
- Mockingbird
- Blob
- Alioth
- Thanos
- Skaar
- Magneto
Considering the stones are cards that don't start in your deck, it's very easy to drop Mockingbird's cost down lower fairly quickly, if not completely negating it altogether. The Mind Stone will let you quickly grab two additional Infinity Stones from your deck, for example, so you'll be able to get Mockingbird on the board fairly soon.
There's a fair amount of Series 5 cards in this deck, so you could easily switch them out for other powerful cards. Hulk, Red Skull, She-Hulk, or Orka are all fitting replacements for cards like Blob, Alioth, and Skaar. However, Thanos is key to the deck, so he can't be replaced.
If you don't have Cull Obsidian, you can use cards like Spider-Woman. They're not as great, but the deck still works fairly well without relying on Cull. We've had a pretty successful win rate with Spider-Woman instead of Cull Obsidian, from our own testing.
Is Mockingbird worth getting in Marvel Snap?
Even if Thanos' Infinity Stones get nerfed, or if Mockingbird gets the text "except Infinity Stones" added to her ability, Mockingbird is still a brilliant card. Her ability works well in plenty of circumstances, including having Squirrels on the board, for example.
If you have the spare Spotlight Keys available, we'd definitely suggest trying to unlock her. She's a great card in plenty of decks, and we think she'll always be a solid pick.
