This build improves accuracy, damage, and range which compensates for the lack of one-shot kill capabilities in long-distance gunfights. The increases in damage and range minimise any drop-off, allowing you to deal maximum damage with the Type 99.

How to Unlock the Type 99 in Warzone

Players shouldn’t have to worry too much about unlocking the Type 99 since it’s the first Sniper Rifle available in Vanguard, which should make it an easy get in Warzone if players have both games.

Best Type 99 Warzone Attachments

Like most Sniper Rifles in the game, the Type 99 does a ton of damage and has a high level of accuracy but it’s a weapon you have to be careful with since reloading and aiming can take a while, due to its nature. Here are some attachments that should make the Type 99 sniper even better.

• Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
• Barrel: Shiraishi 712mm Sniper
• Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
• Stock: Sakura CVR Custom
• Underbarrel: Heavy Foregrip
• Magazine: 8mm Klauser 5 Round Mags
• Ammunition: Lengthened
• Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
• Perk: Discard
• Perk 2: Fully Loaded

The combination of Mercury Silencer and 712mm barrel is perfect for maximising damage. The choice of a Heavy Foregrip is unorthodox but does provide additional aiming stability which is crucial in those long-range engagements.

The rest of the loadout focuses on increasing aim-down sight speed while the choice of Discard increases reload speed once the magazine is empty.

Overall, this Type 99 build is extremely powerful for sniper players that love to run and gun on Caldera and Rebirth Island.

Best Type 99 Warzone Perks and Equipment

Using a Sniper Rifle in Warzone means you will need a strong selection of Perks and Equipment in order to improve your versatility when using the Type 99. Here are the best to use alongside the sniper.

Perks

• EOD (Perk 1)
• Overkill (Perk 2)
• Amped (Perk 3)

This combination of Perks is a surefire way to succeed with the Type 99. EOD increases explosive resistance while Overkill gives you the ability to use two primary weapons in the same loadout. We recommend the Automaton assault rifle for some additional firepower.

Last and by no means least is Amped. The increase in weapon swap speed makes it very easy to switch between the Type 99 when you manage to spot a potential target lurking in the distance.

Equipment

• Frag Grenade (Lethal)
• Stim (Tactical)

This combination of equipment is doing the business on Caldera and Rebirth Island. The trusty Frag Grenade is perfect for dealing some additional damage while the Stim provides an instant health boost and a temporary increase in speed which is particularly useful when evading any oncoming opposition.

Is the Type 99 Good in Warzone?

For those that prefer a passive style of play, the Type 99 is a solid choice in Season 3 of Warzone. Its one-shot ability may not make an impact at longer ranges but in medium and close-quarters action, very few rifles can match it.
