Now that the Call Of Duty League has released its schedule for its 2025 Season, many players are getting ready for more competition in ranked matches.

However, in a recent live stream of Twitch streamer LunchTime, fans discovered that crossplay in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 ranked matches will always be enabled, much to the dismay of many console gamers.

This gives console players no choice but to play with other platforms, such as PC, which slowly became a platform for Black Ops 6 cheaters to thrive and abuse matches.

Considering that the first Challengers Cups will happen on November 23, aspiring competitive players will have to deal with crossplay as they prepare for the first matches of the prized tournament.

Black Ops 6 recently received an update about how controller aim-assist works in close range, and forcing players to play together via ranked matches seems like a recipe for disaster in competitive matches. No one would want to play against players with a stronger aim-assist, especially when forced cross-play is involved.

The bigger issue is dealing with cheaters. Controller players have aim-assist, but PCs are plagued by cheaters who can do anything to ruin everyone's games. Dealing with that while aiming for a spot in the Challengers Cups will definitely have a negative effect on some players.

Many fellow players reacted to @LunchTime_YT's X post, and most expressed their disappointment at how Treyarch handled the ranked matches for the franchise's biggest launch in history.

With ranked and competitive matches on the line, Treyarch and Activision must do something before every match is plagued by cheaters, according to many fans.

Now that forced cross-play is implemented, players will have to practice dealing with cheaters or take their time grinding matches if they want to practice more in preparation for these amateur tournaments.

Players are still hopeful that Treyarch and Activision will reconsider forced cross-play. Understandably, they wouldn't want their esports experience to be ruined by some wall-hacking cheaters.
