Another week of physical chart data, and another big week for Nintendo, according to data from GI.biz.
Super Mario 3D World and Bowser's Fury remain top of the pile, while Mario Kart 8: Deluxe rises to third. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has dropped to its lowest position in 2021 – fourth.
Despite sales dropping 9% week-on-week, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War climbed up to fifth, while FIFA 21 climbed to second on the back of heavy discounts.
The second-best-selling game in history, Grand Theft Auto 5, rose from thirteenth place to seventh.
UK Boxed Charts Sees Mario Reign Supreme, FIFA 21 Climbs To Second
As noted by GI.biz, the charts are likely to become a little familiar over the coming months due to a relative lack of big releases.
Bravely Default 2 launches next week on Switch, while Monster Hunter: Rise also comes to Nintendo's system at the end of March – suggesting Nintendo's dominance in the software space is not likely to be over anytime soon.
As for PS5 owners, Returnal and Deathloop are approaching in April and May, while Resident Evil: Village will finally introduce us to the tall vampire lady of our dreams on Xbox Series S/X and PS5 in May.
