How To Save & Quit (or Pause) While Playing Solo in Black Ops 6 Zombies
You'll need to follow specific steps to use the save and quit option in Black Ops 6 Zombies, as this feature is new and comes with specific requirements.
Make sure you're in Solo mode first, as the save feature isn't available for co-op or private matches.
After starting a solo session on either initial maps (Terminus or Liberty Falls), complete at least the first round to unlock the save functionality.
Passing this round is necessary to make the Save & Quit option available, so be prepared to survive this initial wave before attempting to save.
When ready to save, pause the game by pressing the designated button (Options on PlayStation, Menu on Xbox, or Escape on PC), then select the Save & Quit option from the menu.
This will create a save point that captures your progress at the beginning of the last completed round. Each save file remains valid for 30 days, giving you ample time to pick up where you left off.
However, if you want to keep it longer, you'll need to reload and save it again within that timeframe. You need to be in full health (with no active Exfil) and not currently downed or dead.

This timer does not reset with each pause but counts down, so if you pause multiple times, each break shortens the remaining timer.
Once the timer runs out, the game resumes automatically, so if you need an extended break, it’s better to save and quit.
This feature is handy for quick pauses without losing progress but won’t let you stay idle indefinitely.
When resuming a saved game, you’ll start at the beginning of the last completed round. If you wish to save again after reloading, you’ll need to progress to the next round.
For instance, if you resume from Round 6, you must complete Round 7 before saving again.
