The Call of Duty franchise is no stranger to celebrity collaborations. During the life cycles of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone to this point, the likes of NBA legend Kevin Durant and footballing icon Lionel Messi have already appeared as playable Operators.

With Season 4 Reloaded now in full swing, the game's rumour mill is turning once again. Following a recent leak that claimed to reveal the weapons that'll be arriving in Season 5, another has emerged to suggest that the next batch of famous faces arriving in multiplayer could be from the music world.

This latest leak claims that two famous rappers will have their very own bundle once the next seasonal update goes live.

Call of Duty rapper Operators leaked

According to notable Call of Duty dataminer HeyImAlaix, 21 Savage and Nicki Minaj are the two rappers allegedly in line to join the ever-expanding roster of Operators.

Judging by community feedback to HeyImAlaix's post, there are many fans that aren’t best pleased with this idea, with FaZe Clan member Swagg saying: “(The developers have) gotta be trolling at this point.”

Although there are plenty of questions being raised as to why Nicki Minaj would appear in Call of Duty, the operator the leak claims is coming wouldn't be her first interaction with the series. The rapper appeared in Modern Warfare 2's launch trailer, suggesting her skin may have been part of that deal.

Meanwhile, another user responded to the leak by declaring: “Warzone (is) trying to be Fortnite.” Fortnite often joins forces with famous faces, with the likes of Travis Scott having even performed concerts from inside the battle royale.

As with all leaks, it’s important to take this with a pinch of salt, as there’s always a chance 21 Savage and Nicki Minaj remain as mere easter eggs within the game's files. However, this particular data miner has an impressive track record when uncovering unreleased content, so there is potential of the leak to be accurate to some degree. For now, though, it’s best to wait for official confirmation from Activision before getting excited.
