With Modern Warfare 3's release just around the corner, announcements of changes that will be coming to Warzone are coming thick and fast. It's recently been confirmed that three new perks will be coming to Warzone once the game has been integrated with Modern Warfare 3 post-launch.

Plenty of major announcements have been made recently regarding the Call of Duty franchise, with the news that Activision have new Call of Duty titles planned until 2027, as well as the reveal of the Soul Capture event for both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.

Brand new perks are coming to Warzone

Whilst Modern Warfare 3 will be coming out on November 10, 2023, it'll be a couple of weeks longer before we'll see major changes being made to Warzone. These changes will likely come to Warzone with the release of Modern Warfare 3: Season 1, on December 5, 2023. The new Warzone map, Urzikstan is already confirmed for a release on this date.

Joining alongside Urzikstan will be the three new perks that are to be added in Warzone. Each of the three perks have been fully announced, with the names Irradiated, Resolute, and Shrouded. We've included the features of each of these perks down below.

  • Irradiated: When in the gas, move faster and take less damage.
  • Resolute: Increased movement speed when damaged.
  • Shrouded: When you are downed, throw a smoke grenade on your position.

Thankfully, each of the perks looks like they have some potential, although Irradiated and Shrouded might be somewhat situational in their use. Meanwhile, Resolute seems like it may be a more well-rounded perk, particularly if you're looking to make a speedy getaway.

We don't yet know which slots each perk goes in, so no definitive conclusions on them can be made yet. Once they make their way into the game you'll be sure to hear our thoughts on them further.

Until then though, we'll be looking forward to Modern Warfare 2's final seasonal update, Season 6 Reloaded, due later this October, hoping that it can provide a fitting send-off to the game.
