Breakdown
- A squad in Call of Duty Warzone set the record for the fastest Nuke detonated with a record of 7 minutes 45 seconds.
- The run accidentally became a world record during a win farming session.
- This is only technically the fastest record from contract to detonation as the record from plane to detonation is faster.
A squad of Warzone players managed to set the world record for the fastest Nuke detonated in a game of Warzone Battle Royale. The squad's record currently stands at 7 Minutes 45 Seconds.
The time is counted from the moment the contract was picked up till the moment of detonation. In a stunning display of skill and resourcefulness, the squad of four managed to detonate a nuke and end the round in under 8 minutes.
Of course, they died in this process, but that's not what matters. It's a masterfully planned and prepared execution that would make most other players envious. For the record, just detonating a nuke in Warzone is no easy task, let alone detonating one in under 8 minutes.
To even get a chance at the Champion's quest to detonate the Nuke, your squad needs to either win 5 games in a row or rack up 30 wins. After this, once you start your quest to go nuclear, you will be hunted down and hampered mercilessly by other players who will stop you from nuking the map.
Yet somehow against all odds, not only did this squad manage to detonate the nuke, they completed this challenge in record time. The most impressive detail is that this Nuke record wasn't intentional. In the description for the YouTube video uploaded GloriousFlame states "We weren't even playing to nuke this session. It was a quick decision while farming wins with Heli/Intel spam."
Furthermore, he clarified that "If you count from the plane, Rexzilla, and his team nuked their lobby faster (They did their contract around 7 minutes 56 seconds).". So, this is only technically the fastest nuke in Warzone. However, if their squad managed this without even trying, if they intentionally do a Nuke run they could blow this record up along with the map.
